A Prayer for Israel with Daily Blessings

We pray for the people of Israel who are waiting to find out if their friends and family members being held captive will be returned. 

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu hei ha’olamim matir asurim.

Blessed are you, Adonai; life of all the worlds, who makes the captive free

We pray for the soldiers who are risking their lives to protect all the people of Israel from harm.

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu hei ha’olamim, zokef Kfufim v’hameichin mitzadi gaver.

Blessed are you, Adonai; life of all the worlds, who lifts up the fallen and strengthens our steps.

We pray that you protect the innocent civilians who wait helplessly for this terrifying moment to end. 

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu hei ha’olamim, hanotein laya’eif koach.

Blessed are you, Adonai; life of all the worlds, who gives strength to the weary.

And we pray that those who have suddenly turned away from our Jewish community see through the propaganda and reckon with the error of their ways.

Baruch atah Adonai, Eloheinu hei ha’olamim, pokei’ach ivrim.

Blessed are you, Adonai; life of all the worlds, who opens the eyes of the blind.
